Designer Principals looks forward
to helping a new company develop and design their identity through their
logo. The proper use and placement of your logo will help “brand” your
product or service. You want to protect your logo and never let it
be ‘distorted” by improper usage.
Choose your corporate color
palette wisely. Our
clients will have the option of using their color choices consistently
throughout their web design, print, brochures and other graphics.
We will choose two typefaces
for use with your logo design. These
typefaces should be in coordinating design with the look of your
company.
We will help our clients with how their logo should properly
be used on web sites, letterhead, brochures, etc.
The client will receive a variety of graphics for your logo design.
Color, black and white, tinted, etc.
A CD will be presented to you with the graphics in various file
formats such as .jpg, .gif, .bmp, or .tif.
Designer Principals looks forward to helping you design and develop
your logo.
There are three basic types of logos:
1. Icons or symbols -
if you use just an icon or symbol, it should be:
- Memorable
- Recognizable
- Precise and clear when reproduced in small
formats
- Illustrative of company
2. “Word mark” or “Letter
mark” – company
name or initials are the logo. (Ex. IBM). The font in a
word mark should be reflective of your company name in other design
formats.
3. Combination Marks – Combination marks can
either stand alone or be a combination mark with the company name. The
graphic can combine the company name in the logo or the icon can
be separate from the company name.
Combination marks are the most
common type of logo. They
combine your symbol with your company name. They can also include
your tag line to explain your business, if your name does not distinguish
your service or products.
