Going vintage is a stylistic way to show how fashionable you are. There are lots of great styles from the twenties up to the fifties. Just like retro shoes, vintage styles receive lots of praises from different personalities.
Stiletto Heels
During the 1950s, Teenage Fashion spells ballet flats to be worn with white socks during theatrical acts. While it becomes popular since it was influenced by media, the shoe trend for young women is entirely different. Their shoe fashion is commonly referred as uncomfortable because of stiletto heels. The birth of Dior becomes the trademark of the decade and more shoes were created to match with different outfits. As of the moment, colorful and fluffy stilettos are being sold and many customers patronized it. Golden stilettos also scored positive feedback due to the fact that it promotes uniqueness and extravagance.
Lower-heeled pumps
Since not all women are fond of high-heeled shoes, it gives rise to different pumps shoes of the same level. It may mean dressing down a little bit but it does not mean that you are of a lesser person. Along lower heeled pumps, Oxford shoes come in brilliant colors and various styles. Vintage shoes under this type are chunkier but more functional.
Standard Wedges
This type of vintage shoe was brought about by pre-war times’ creativity. Shoe designers found some restriction on leather so they decided to use wood and cork for the soles. Wedges are originally called “wedgies” and the beautiful shoe comes in different styles, textures and colors. Some are designed to have peep-toes and others are fully-covered tootsies.
Wedge shoes also come in designer brands and have attractive embellishments. Among the crowd’s top picks are those with floral designs, shiny chains, uneven straps and more.
Peep-toe pumps
This vintage style was introduced during the 1930′s. During the Great Depression, the country’s fashion was affected by economic downfall. Nevertheless, various styles of shoes become available and exist even in international market. The three major shoe styles that come with it are buckle shoes, slip-on styles and lace-up shoes. Though they are all different and unique in its own, the highlights of these pumps are the small holes on the shoe pointers. They are made of luxury materials such as brocades, silk, satin and velvets. With this recent upgrade, peep-too vintage shoes become more popular and in demand. Some are even decorated with bows, sequins, buckles and complex straps.

Ladies vintage cowboy boot is currently one of the hottest fashion items. What makes it commendable is the fact that it goes along really well with any outfit.
